Rakesh Roshan to direct Krrish 3

It’s decided. Rakesh Roshan will be the one directing ‘Krrish 3’. The director, who was initially considering Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to direct the film, has dropped that idea after ‘Delhi 6’ had a disastrous fate.

Both Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan want the film to be on par with Hollywood films. For that, they don’t want to take any kind of risk. Even though Rakesh Roshan was all right with Mehra doing the film, Hrithik wasn’t so sure about it. Hrithik feels more comfortable working with his father. However, the film is, at present, still in its scripting stage.

Both Roshans’ are busy with ‘Kites’ currently and will begin work on ‘Krrish 3’ properly only after ‘Kites’ releases. However, Hrithik joins his father and the writers whenever he isn’t shooting to see to it that ‘Krrish 3’ has every detail in place.

Rakesh Roshan has confirmed that he will be directing ‘Krrish 3’ but adds that there’s still a considerable amount of time left before the movie starts shooting. He stated that they did approach Rakesh Mehra to direct the film, but he got busy with Delhi 6 and they got busy with ‘Kites’ and nothing was decided upon. Mehra, however, states that he was never directing ‘Krrish 3’.
